STAGE 1. Migrate from Android 5.1 to Android 7

  1. Extract update.zip (using an unzip program like 7zip, winzip etc) from Q10_PRO_ANDROID_5.1_TO_ANDROID_7_MIGRATION_FIRMWARE.zip to the root of a USB drive or SD card.
  2. Ensure the file is named exactly update.zip.
  3. Insert the USB drive into the Himedia Q10 Pro.
  4. Power off the device.
  5. Use a paperclip or tool to press and hold the hidden Upgrade/Reset button (usually found on the back or bottom).
  6. Keep holding the button while switching the power on.
  7. Release the button when the Himedia logo appears on the screen. The migration process will begin.

STAGE 2. Further Updates

After the migration to Android 7 is complete, follow the standard OTA or local manual update procedures to reach version 7.2 as per the latest release notes provided by the manufacturer.
